| The schooner Elizabeth Peers was owned by William
Postlethwaite, Millom shipowner, for her entire career. She was an
iron-hulled three-masted schooner, built in September 1885 by William
Thomas at Amlwch, Anglesey.
This schooner is discussed in "Ships and Seamen of Anglesey" by Aled Eames. Appendix IX gives a summary of her building costs, which amounted to £2147 18s 2d. The Elizabeth Peers foundered off Rio Grande Bar on the 18th
February 1893.
