This shaft is close to Tiddy's

Charlotte was named after a daughter of the Marquis of Anglesey.

It is thought that the winding mechanism for this shaft was  driven by the windmill.

40 Mona (or Henry) Footway

1960 Cockshut "...whence by descending some stone steps hewn in the rock,the first level could be reached ,further descends being affected by ladders in the whines... the mona footway is now a bad route being dirt...and a terrifying rush of water passing close by."

 Local tradition says that the bottom of the shaft was level with the Quay in Amlwch.  Tidal working was required.

The Hughes family of Llys Dulas became know as Lord Dinorben.
